"Thank you, for letting me back out." She takes a few deep breaths, and adds. "Perhaps Emberclaw was just happy to see the end of whatever was tormenting them to be so... destructive?"

They slaughter all before them - my company was overwhelmed at Cinderhaven. None survived but me. You must stop this evil!"

The village clings to the mountainside like an afterthought — stone cottages with slate roofs, a stout blacksmith, mine offices cut directly into the rock, all arranged around a broad, open market square. There are no banners, no smoke from chimneys, no animals. No bodies.
