[2025/04/24 15:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: In a dimly lit corner of the bustling inn, a bard sits hunched over, her colorful fiddle resting against her knee while she discreetly sips from a tankard of ale. Clad in a tattered cloak that partially obscures her flamboyant attire, she watches the lively patrons with keen, darting, brown eyes, wary of any who might recognize her, her fingers absently brushing through her auburn hair. She occasionally catches the attention of a passing barmaid, offering a charming smile to deflect suspicion, but her heart races as she subtly checks her surroundings, hoping that her famous charisma can remain cloaked in anonymity for just a little longer.

[2025/04/24 15:11] Sapphire: She takes a deep breath, unsure if her own party is in hearing range but doesn't mean it to be secret. "I grew up across the waters east, amoung the forests of oak and cedar. Such is the way of of elves in our lands, that we know the forests as the backs of our hands, and the forest knows us in turn."

Where a human might consider this a terrible fate, the forest knows it's own. Rather than consumed, I found myself chosen. Linked to the forest more deeply than others. Even by elven standards." From here she moves her hand to roll up her long sleeves, revealing the usually hidden skin of her arm. Or rather, the brown bark there, cracked and flaky with strands of white. "This has a cost I am happy to have paid. But there is also, a sickness of the trees across the waters to the east. One that I, as tightly coupled to the forest as I am, have come to know painfully well."
