[2026/04/28 14:32] Sapphire: So last time we did some book keeping and also heard word from Sarah's *parens*, inquiring if she would like to join in on a Wizards War. And of the two of you, Syra knows a bit more about the legal meaning of "Wizards War".
[2026/04/28 14:33] Sapphire: Under normal conditions there are rules about what you can't do to other mages. No slaying of another mage, no depriving of magical power, no scrying, and no violating ones sanctum.
[2026/04/28 14:33] Mecha: *Since starting over* Sarah checks out the message wand that came with the heads up
[2026/04/28 14:34] Sapphire: The message wand is a lesser enchanted item. You speak into one end, and your voice comes out on the matched end of it's paired wand.
[2026/04/28 14:36] Sapphire: But it is known that wizards sometimes have disagreements that cannot be properly resolved through either Duels or the Tribunal system.
[2026/04/28 14:37] Sapphire: and so there is a tradition of "Wizards War". A mage declares, in public, that they are starting a Wizards War with another mage. At the start of the next* full moon, that war begins, and lasts for one lunar month.
[2026/04/28 14:38] Sapphire: During that month, *all* the usual rules are suspended.... specifically with respect to the mages at war.

And, my apologies, miss Sarah, but I would *never* assume a wizard into a war they did not explicilty say. People have died for less than that."

[2026/04/28 15:20] Sapphire: You would both know that you have two reasonable options: you can officially join the war, the information is sent back to all participants, and you'll have unrestricted right to use whatever power or lethality you wish... and them the same to you in kind. Or, you can arrive without declaring but just be around, and not be a legal target for obvious attacks while making subtle moves to assist.
