Three people march out, a stocky looking man and wife, hauling a bleeding from the lips teen between them. The wife is holding a bundle of cloth in her other hand, while the husband is holding a heavy lumber axe.

I didn't even want to be here in the -first- place, but, I managed to solve this without you being blown to the four corners of the Earth or your lord sending his soldiers to slaughter you all like sheep. [2026/03/31 15:29] Sapphire: The spirit shimmers, becoming visible as a shirtless man with cloud-grey skin and grinning hungrily at the villagers and the cloth. Their attention focuses on Syra as she receives the cloth, which shifts and reveals a melon-sized silver orb, encrusted with a ring of white pearls.

[2026/03/31 15:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me takes up the orb. "Oi! Windy! I got yer ball. Let's walk and talk."

[2026/03/31 15:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me pauses. "And kiddo, seriously, stay OUT of that damn castle. You never know what you might get tangled up in."
[2026/03/31 15:32] Sapphire: He walks up to her, falling in step besides Syra, one hand reaching up to his chest but pausing as Syra keeps walking over to the well. It's a wooden well that looks to go down about six paces before it hits muddy looking water.

[2026/03/31 15:42] Sapphire: Their grey hand accepts the orb, holding it close to their chest, while the free hand first reaches up to their hair, pulling out lengths of silk they braid into a silvery blue set of ribbons, then extracting a round pearl of stormy white from above their heart, passing both into Syra's hand. "As promised."

[2026/03/31 15:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: Syra: pockets gem and ribbon, and starts punching the living fuck out of the stones of the well.
[2026/03/31 15:48] Sapphire: Syra, you're not deeply practiced with the magic of faerie rather than wizards, but you can tell that the ribbons seem like some sort of invested item, while the pearl seems like it's meant to trigger when touching someones skin, as evidenced by the fact it *tried* to do so for you.

[2026/03/31 15:55] Sapphire: A short walk to the castle later, and Kaelin the guard is back on duty, sipping from a water or wine skin as Syra calls out to him.

[2026/03/31 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: Syra: "They saw this cloaked rider, all in black, he rode up to a side gate, and they saw a guy open the door, he was wearing one of your uniforms, and he looked about and gave the rider this steel ball... or a tin ball... guess they never saw silver before, but, anyway, that's where your silver orb is."
