[2026/03/10 14:19] Sapphire: can each of you look up the sum of your Intellect and Magical Theory scores?
[2026/03/10 14:20] Mecha: 6
[2026/03/10 14:20] Mecha: int. +3 Magical theory +3
[2026/03/10 14:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: 5
[2026/03/10 14:21] D20: Sonja Bikergrrl rolls 3
[2026/03/10 14:24] Sapphire: ok, and the local magical aura is +3
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sapphire: so before adding arts and foci, Sarah has a Lab Total of 9, and Syra has a Lab total of 8
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sapphire: ready for me to do opening post?
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: as we'll ever be
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sapphire: -☼- --☿-- -☼-
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sapphire: Previous Session's Logs: http://81.133.27.194/Dungeons&Kittens/logs-2025arm/20260303.html
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sapphire: Alright, so last time you two made it back to your home wizardly castle, Castra Solis. After presenting what remains you had recovered, the Primus of the house granted the two of you access to the shared guest laboratory. As well, you have determined that the metal remains bear Four Pawns of Terram Vis, to your own usage, though the castle is willing to trade one for one with members in good standing for other Forms.
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sapphire: Only one of you can use it at a time, but you have two seasons to leverage it, or One Each. These labs have a Magical Aura rating of 3.
[2026/03/10 14:25] Sapphire: As well, Syra, you were able to ask the librarians for assistance, for the low price of touching up the integrity of the Book Wards against Fire, they're granting you access to the Founders own* writings on firey spells. Two catch your eye, *Blade of the Virulent Flame*, ( CrIg 15, pg 140 ), which coats a sword in fire, and *Torrent of the Purging F
[2026/03/10 14:26] Sapphire: and *Torrent of the Purging Flame*, which propels a gout of steady flame where you direct, for as long as you can recite the mantra uninterrupted. Both deal +5 damage for extended durations. (CrIg 20 : Base 5, Voice +2, Concentration +1, Individual)
[2026/03/10 14:27] Sapphire: So, Syra, since i think you were wanting to research... a -mix- of arts, we'll do yours second since the math gets a bit more complex
[2026/03/10 14:27] Sapphire: *Sarah, i mean
[2026/03/10 14:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: supposing I manifested a flame on something volatile in a tube with one end plugged temporarily
[2026/03/10 14:28] Sapphire: It would heat the volatile stuff until it caught fire or evaporated, generally
[2026/03/10 14:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: well, if it was water, one volume would become 1,600 volumes. Wouldn't that propel the temporary plug at considerable speed?
[2026/03/10 14:30] Sapphire: under Aristotelian physics? I think it just gets really hot in there.
[2026/03/10 14:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: under any physics, it's fundamental science
[2026/03/10 14:30] Sapphire: though firing slugs at things is what *Sling of Vilano* does
[2026/03/10 14:31] Sapphire: it would be an experimental spell to be heating up tubes with water and metal, though you could in principle use your lab time for that.
[2026/03/10 14:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: that sounds like a plan
[2026/03/10 14:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: a steampunk rifle, literally
[2026/03/10 14:33] Sapphire: are you taking the lab time first?
[2026/03/10 14:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: to experiment on this? sure, why not
[2026/03/10 14:36] Mecha: /me Nods listening
[2026/03/10 14:37] Sapphire: alright, sounds like you're using a mixture of Ignem, Terram, and Rego in all this
[2026/03/10 14:37] Sapphire: Where are you getting the tubes from?
[2026/03/10 14:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: buy them from the blacksmith
[2026/03/10 14:41] Sapphire: Alright, he'll start working on them in between the horseshoes and shield fittings, get back to you in a couple weeks or so while you can do the other prep for your experiments
[2026/03/10 14:42] Sapphire: and this does sound like an emeriment so we'll get to use the experiment table....
[2026/03/10 14:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: is he making nuts and bolts too?
[2026/03/10 14:42] Sapphire: nails more likely, though if you're asking for them?
[2026/03/10 14:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: yep, I need a bunch
[2026/03/10 14:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: two hooks too, probably
[2026/03/10 14:45] Sapphire: just how convoluted is this affair?
[2026/03/10 14:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: what affair?
[2026/03/10 14:46] Sapphire: of tubes and.... hmmmm... alright
[2026/03/10 14:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: oh that, that's a different affair
[2026/03/10 14:46] Sapphire: we'll do the other affair seperate
[2026/03/10 14:46] Sapphire: what are your ratings for Ignem, Terram, Rego, and Creo?
[2026/03/10 14:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: the tubes is simple, just tubes. The nuts. bolts and hooks are just applied physics
[2026/03/10 14:47] Sonja Bikergrrl: 12+3, 1, 5, 12
[2026/03/10 14:49] Sapphire: /me ponders. "Alright, it sounds like you'er trying to construct some sort of effect based around heating water up in a very *controlled* manner, so I think Ignem and Rego are what we'll use to determine this. And that you're avoiding trying to control the metal itself in this process."
[2026/03/10 14:49] Sapphire: which will be... 8+ 12+3 + 5 ... a lab total of 28 or so
[2026/03/10 14:50] Sapphire: plus whatever your experiment roll produces.... give me a stress die of 1d10
[2026/03/10 14:50] D10: Sonja Bikergrrl rolls 9
[2026/03/10 14:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: a 9 is good?
[2026/03/10 14:50] Sapphire: yes, and one moment while i math and check tables....
[2026/03/10 14:51] Mecha: /me knocks on the wood in front of her."this table seems solid."
[2026/03/10 14:52] Sapphire: 37 effective lab total...
[2026/03/10 14:53] Sapphire: and give me another stress die for the Extraordinary Results
[2026/03/10 14:53] D10: Sonja Bikergrrl rolls 8
[2026/03/10 14:55] Sapphire: ouch :(
[2026/03/10 14:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: what?
[2026/03/10 14:55] Sapphire: that's the Complete Failure result
[2026/03/10 14:56] Sapphire: You work extensively in your lab, arranging tubes of metal in various configurations, filling them with water, filling them with oil, even with sand, heating the tubes in several different ways. It seems your theory that the material would expand and move things around... simply fills the room with steam and mist, the slug resolutely refusing to be moved in any reliable way
[2026/03/10 14:57] Sapphire: You do still get 2 experience of exposure to a relevant art or the magical theory ability, but your experiments are not panning out
[2026/03/10 14:57] Sapphire: ( linked the experimentation chart in discord, by the way )
[2026/03/10 14:58] Sapphire: ( very unfortunate to land exactly on that row :(
[2026/03/10 14:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: so I'm getting close...
[2026/03/10 14:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: so, the 2 xp...?
[2026/03/10 14:59] Sapphire: yes, you can allocate it to any art or ability that you were working with. Rego is probably the one that gives you the best odds when you want to try again
[2026/03/10 15:00] Sapphire: ok, Sarah! Syra is filling the lab with steam for the spring season, what are you seeking to do with your time?
[2026/03/10 15:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: I'll add it to Ig
[2026/03/10 15:01] Mecha: well still working on the flying surface project, finding if stone or metal is the better option, and trying to think of things i can pitch to Syrah so I can share more earth magic.
[2026/03/10 15:01] Sapphire: ok, so you currently have a rating of 12+3 in Ig? Which means it has.... 78 xp in it to start if it hasn't been increased yet
[2026/03/10 15:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: Au, maybe
[2026/03/10 15:03] Sapphire: hmmmm, well, Syra's in the lab at the moment, so it's harder to experiment.... I suppose practicing a spell or reading books are natural things to be doing, um....
[2026/03/10 15:03] Sapphire: question, have you read either of the Long Term Events chapter or the Laboratory Chapter?
[2026/03/10 15:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: er... started to skim it
[2026/03/10 15:04] Mecha: the floating thing can be done outside. taking a piece of scrap metal or pissibly a large enough stone
[2026/03/10 15:04] Mecha: possibly
[2026/03/10 15:05] Sapphire: ok, so basically practicing the process of levitating stones and trying to lift yourself as well?
[2026/03/10 15:05] Sapphire: you -could-.... let me check how Study from Vis works
[2026/03/10 15:06] Mecha: Yep, nd once that is done see about propulsion
[2026/03/10 15:08] Sapphire: So, you have 4 Terram Vis, you could spend half of it experimenting with raw Terram to try and learn more about the basic art. I think you probably also want to learn the standard spells for Sling of Vilano and unseen Arm, before trying to scale those up to larger capacity?
[2026/03/10 15:09] Mecha: yes indeed
[2026/03/10 15:10] Sapphire: and that way, the other half of the vis could be used by Syra to study Terram as well
[2026/03/10 15:10] Sapphire: if Syra is interested in such a move, to gain extra xp that way
[2026/03/10 15:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: do i need terra? Mecha is the terran
[2026/03/10 15:12] Sapphire: it's generally useful to have some of everything? since you could end up seperated, and wirh you interested in propelling slugs of metal around, it's a relevant art.
[2026/03/10 15:12] Sapphire: also if you want to prepare spells against -other- peoples magic
[2026/03/10 15:12] Sapphire: you could also trade that vis in to the castle stocks for a different form
[2026/03/10 15:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: so... +2 terror
[2026/03/10 15:13] Mecha: Sarah: Hey Syrah. have you ever thought about heating metal until it is liquid and throwing them at opponents?
[2026/03/10 15:13] Sapphire: ah, let me clarify
[2026/03/10 15:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: ....what a wonderful idea
[2026/03/10 15:14] Sapphire: "Study from Vis" costs a few units of the Vis, but you -learn- xp equal to a stress die plus the local aura ( here 3 )
[2026/03/10 15:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: I need some magnesium
[2026/03/10 15:14] Sapphire: ( I have a houserule that if you end up doubling the learned xp above 30 you instead learn a minor virtue
[2026/03/10 15:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: so, roll d10?
[2026/03/10 15:15] Sapphire: if you're going for that, yeah
[2026/03/10 15:15] D10: Mecha rolls 8
[2026/03/10 15:15] D10: Sonja Bikergrrl rolls 9
[2026/03/10 15:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: so 12xp for terror
[2026/03/10 15:16] Sapphire: and 11 for Sarah
[2026/03/10 15:16] Sapphire: at 15 xp total... your arts rating will be....
[2026/03/10 15:16] Sapphire: a rating of 5 exactly for Syra
[2026/03/10 15:17] Sapphire: Sarah, starting at a higher rating....
[2026/03/10 15:17] Sapphire: at a rating of 12 Terram, it costs 13 xp to get to the next rank, but she can take exposure xp in the second season of labwork and finish it up to reach 13
[2026/03/10 15:18] Sapphire: the geometric xp curves mean that the early ranks raise quickly and the later ranks raise slowly
[2026/03/10 15:18] Mecha: sounds good to me
[2026/03/10 15:18] Sapphire: you comfortable with how to note that down on your sheets?
[2026/03/10 15:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: Tea is 5
[2026/03/10 15:20] Mecha: ... think so.
[2026/03/10 15:21] Mecha: So Sarahs Terram is still at 12 for now but when we get to the second season of lab work it will go up to 13? So maybe just put it in like that?
[2026/03/10 15:21] Sapphire: ok, and Sarah, for the second lab season are you learning the foundational stone movement spells or are you jumping straight towards trying to invent new ones? It's about twice as much effort to invent as to learn existing
[2026/03/10 15:22] Sapphire: you could also say 12 ( 89 xp)
[2026/03/10 15:22] Sapphire: or we just mark it as 13 while we're thinking about it and keep in mind you get the last 2 xp at the -end- of labwork
[2026/03/10 15:23] Mecha: that too
[2026/03/10 15:23] Mecha: Gonna work on inventing. Sarah wants to be able for ride this thing so she is not hampered by bad terrain
[2026/03/10 15:23] Sapphire: ok, so the basic effect is levitating stone
[2026/03/10 15:24] Mecha: would even invite Syra to help her test things. Carefully so as to not hurt Syrah
[2026/03/10 15:24] Mecha: Yes
[2026/03/10 15:24] Sapphire: what's your Rego?
[2026/03/10 15:24] Sapphire: this sounds like "Control Stone in a very unnatural fashion"
[2026/03/10 15:26] Mecha: 5
[2026/03/10 15:27] Sapphire: doubled by your focus.... so 10, plus the 9 base lab total, then... 12+3 Terram... 34 overall... halfing that yuo can invent a level 15 spell in one shot
[2026/03/10 15:29] Mecha: Going for it
[2026/03/10 15:30] Sapphire: so.... Base 4 for "control stone in unnatural fashion", +1 for Concentration, +1 for Size increase because you're gonna need a big stone, which would be a level 10 spell (because of how spell magnitudes calculate) ... then you could either let it be a lower level spell or bump it up to 15 to control multiple stones at once, say as moving a cobblestone path underfoot while you walk across it?
[2026/03/10 15:31] Mecha: Oh that would be cool, but just stick with the static shock flying disc. or in this case flying stone.
[2026/03/10 15:31] Sapphire: note!
[2026/03/10 15:31] Sapphire: it lifts an existing stone that you'll have to balance atop of
[2026/03/10 15:31] Sapphire: is your mage good at balance?
[2026/03/10 15:32] Mecha: Yep which is why Sarah is trying to find a strong but flat stone to aid in the balance
[2026/03/10 15:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: you might need a balance pole
[2026/03/10 15:32] Mecha: gonna need something Dex is -2
[2026/03/10 15:33] Sapphire: you can do it the cheap way, but i'll advise that having a larger cobbleplatofrm will be able to guide others as well and is less vulnerable to people sniping the stone out from under you
[2026/03/10 15:33] Sapphire: oh right knew i forgot something +1 for touch range or +2 for voice....
[2026/03/10 15:34] Sapphire: hmmmm
[2026/03/10 15:34] Mecha: huh?
[2026/03/10 15:34] Sapphire: i dunno if we've talked deeply about how spells are constructed
[2026/03/10 15:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: supposing the spell made narrow columns of stone like stilts
[2026/03/10 15:35] Sapphire: but there's a Base Effect, from the guideline tables, then a Target, Range, Duration, and any extras
[2026/03/10 15:35] Mecha: I mean if this one is thinking right it would be more touch, as standing on the rock for it to work.
[2026/03/10 15:36] Sapphire: the +0 range is "personal", targeting yourself, at range of Touch is +1 magnitude, and Voice range is +2
[2026/03/10 15:36] Sapphire: magnitudes go up by 1 until you hit 5, then go up in 5 levels, which is why so many spells live in the 15 to 20 bracket
[2026/03/10 15:37] Sapphire: so... Move Stone Unnaturally at Touch range is 5, then Concentration duration is to 10, then either group or increased size gets you up to 15
[2026/03/10 15:38] Mecha: This one is assuming Sarah spent many days in the infirmary when things ddn't work according to plan
[2026/03/10 15:39] Sapphire: she's Giant Blooded, hard to hurt
[2026/03/10 15:39] Sapphire: but quite likely
[2026/03/10 15:39] Sapphire: if you experiment and push yourself, you might be able to swing a level 20 spell at the rist of something going wrong
[2026/03/10 15:40] Mecha: One day She passes Syra while doing the final test run. keeping it at 15. the less to go wrong the better
[2026/03/10 15:40] Sapphire: so Concentration, Touch, and Increased Size to produce a flying boulder you ride on?
[2026/03/10 15:40] Mecha: Yep
[2026/03/10 15:40] Sapphire: What do you wish to name this spell?
[2026/03/10 15:41] Mecha: ... good question. will think and get back to you.
[2026/03/10 15:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: le Boulder du leviataire
[2026/03/10 15:42] Mecha: Keep it simple the travel stone spell
[2026/03/10 15:43] Sapphire: simple? look at your existing known spells, are any of them named simple?
[2026/03/10 15:43] Mecha: true but have you seen Sarah to be anything but simple?
[2026/03/10 15:45] Sapphire: hmmmm
[2026/03/10 15:45] Sapphire: i might suggest
[2026/03/10 15:45] Sapphire: The Mossless Rock
[2026/03/10 15:46] Mecha: oooohhhh. that works.
[2026/03/10 15:46] Sapphire: and since this is a "new" spell, go ahead and note down it's Range, Duration, and that it's got Increased Size so it can lift really big boulders
[2026/03/10 15:49] Sapphire: alright, so we have... 11 minutes before Sonja usually has to bedtime?
[2026/03/10 15:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: +1hr
[2026/03/10 15:49] Mecha: So making sure this one does it right. basically +15 plus Terram + re?
[2026/03/10 15:49] Sapphire: oh, DST!
[2026/03/10 15:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: SSH!
[2026/03/10 15:49] Sapphire: Level 15, casting bonus of Terram Plus Rego plus Focus
[2026/03/10 15:50] Sapphire: which for Sarah is about to recalculate since her terram goes up at the end of the season (affecting most of her known spells)
[2026/03/10 15:50] Mecha: /me nods
[2026/03/10 15:51] Mecha: So yeah one day flies past Syrah on it's test run.
[2026/03/10 15:52] Sapphire: how does Syra react to that?
[2026/03/10 15:52] Mecha: *Oh gods a giant flying by on a boulder.*
[2026/03/10 15:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: I need to work harder on the expansion tube
[2026/03/10 15:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: also, going to need a tube that is open either end. And flour, magnesium, suphur, why not, and shards of metal.
[2026/03/10 15:54] Sapphire: wanting to invest the autumn season towards more of this experimentation then?
[2026/03/10 15:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: Yep.
[2026/03/10 15:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: And those nuts, bolts, hooks - and sticks
[2026/03/10 15:55] Sapphire: Alright, what are you trying different this time around?
[2026/03/10 15:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: same thing. Heat a small piece of water to expand and drive a temporary plug of material. Just needs practice.
[2026/03/10 15:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: Also, put flour, sulphur, magnesium in tube, blow, apply flame, it'll shoot out a great jet of flame - and the shards of metal
[2026/03/10 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: and, make the sticks bolted together like this: XXXXXX hooks at one end.
[2026/03/10 15:59] Sapphire: ok, so 28 lab total befor the two dice rolls... a Simple die for the + to Lab total... and then the stress Die for the Extraordinary results
[2026/03/10 15:59] D10: Sonja Bikergrrl rolls 3
[2026/03/10 15:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: +3
[2026/03/10 15:59] D10: Sonja Bikergrrl rolls 2
[2026/03/10 16:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: no extra ordinary effects
[2026/03/10 16:03] Mecha: *be right back.*
[2026/03/10 16:03] Sapphire: Alright! so 31 lab total overall.... You tinker and work with powders instead of fluids. Magnesium is not something anyone you've talked to knows about, but flour and sulfur are to hand. Heating one end of the tubes until they're red, and the stuff inside expands with a messy fit, pushing the assemblage of hooks out of the tube, anemically at first, but the initial progress shows that it can work at all.....
[2026/03/10 16:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: there's no hooks in the tube...
[2026/03/10 16:04] Sapphire: oh? what is?
[2026/03/10 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: shards of metal
[2026/03/10 16:07] Sapphire: You end up inventing a Rego Ignem spell, level 15, that when used with the tube and shards, ends up producing a burst of mundane metal shards, which require a Finesse check to aim, but deal +10 damage in a manner similar to Invisible Sling of Vilano.
[2026/03/10 16:07] Sapphire: that is to say, because the shards are not magical when they arrive, they do not trigger magical resistance
[2026/03/10 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: No, but they do lacerate
[2026/03/10 16:08] Sapphire: but -could- be stopped by a Ward against metal, such as the kind some mages use when expecting to be hit by swords
[2026/03/10 16:08] Sapphire: what will you name this creation?
[2026/03/10 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: the tube of fire and pain
[2026/03/10 16:09] Sapphire: i like it!
[2026/03/10 16:09] Sapphire: could be an exotic demonstration to the other fire mages... or a secret yet loud weapon for the unsupecting war mage
[2026/03/10 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: they can ward vs metal, but, can they ward vs fire
[2026/03/10 16:10] Sapphire: such things are possible, yes. You yourself are pretty good at warding against fire
[2026/03/10 16:10] Sapphire: it's also a Rego Ignem effect
[2026/03/10 16:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: also the sticks bolted together like: XXXXXXX (hooks)
[2026/03/10 16:12] Sapphire: crossed against each other?
[2026/03/10 16:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: yep
[2026/03/10 16:12] Sapphire: won't that make them jam in the tube?
[2026/03/10 16:12] Sonja Bikergrrl: it doesn't go in a tube
[2026/03/10 16:12] Sapphire: perhaps i'm imagining it wrong from your diagram then
[2026/03/10 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: sticks: XXXXXXX (hooks)
[2026/03/10 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: https://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/academic/class/15394-s22/lectures/intro/scissor-lift.jpg
[2026/03/10 16:13] Sapphire: i saw that, can you describe it in words? like, what angle am i supposed to be viewing the diagram from/ is it top down, side-on in alignment with the barrel....
[2026/03/10 16:13] Sapphire: oh
[2026/03/10 16:14] Sapphire: i wasn't interprating the ends of the x's as connected to each other
[2026/03/10 16:14] Sapphire: do you have any engineering ability?
[2026/03/10 16:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: it's... like... crosses or Xs of wooden sticks, each X connected to another X top and bottom, linked in a chain of Xs
[2026/03/10 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: presumeably? Every kid makes such gizmos
[2026/03/10 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: and, no
[2026/03/10 16:15] Sapphire: so not a specific relevant ability then, just your raw aptitude
[2026/03/10 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: raw aptitude FTW!
[2026/03/10 16:16] Sapphire: ok, so you have a sort of toy gizmo version fairly easily... but i'm unclear what you intend to accomplish with it
[2026/03/10 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: :-)
[2026/03/10 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: at some point I need to go back to that steampunk rifle
[2026/03/10 16:17] Sapphire: Sarah! what are you up to in the autumn while Syra is hogging the lab?
[2026/03/10 16:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me flings a book for Sarah to stick her nose in
[2026/03/10 16:19] Sapphire: on what topic?
[2026/03/10 16:19] Mecha: *Ducks the book as she is thinking.*
[2026/03/10 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: Duck wranglin
[2026/03/10 16:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: "An unabashed look into the life and times of Lenny"
[2026/03/10 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Those who know, are spraying tea on their screens)
[2026/03/10 16:21] Mecha: Going to try and study some Ignem. Syrah is busy so Sarah just reads about it.
[2026/03/10 16:21] Sapphire: is it spelled Syrah or Syra ?
[2026/03/10 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: eh?
[2026/03/10 16:22] Sapphire: i've been spelling it one way, and mecha spells it the other way
[2026/03/10 16:22] Mecha: *That's my mistake think it is Syra
[2026/03/10 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: don't look at me
[2026/03/10 16:24] Sapphire: it's your name!
[2026/03/10 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: I've only ever spelled it one way!
[2026/03/10 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: at a time, anyway
[2026/03/10 16:28] Sapphire: So in the castle library they have several tests, in various levels of demand. one book is a roughly used copy of elemental texts, offering 16 experience up to a max level of 6, before it's so introductory it's not helpful for further learning
[2026/03/10 16:29] Mecha: okay
[2026/03/10 16:29] Mecha: Sarah will read through it and try her best to work on learning without having a lab to work in.
[2026/03/10 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: I'll admit I'm tiring fast, today was phyiscally demanding
[2026/03/10 16:30] Sapphire: ok, in that case i'll wrap up with one bit of news that reaches your ears via castle gossip
[2026/03/10 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: is it that 'thagus smells bad?
[2026/03/10 16:30] Sapphire: Pythagora has been swinging by in between her own adventures... and has been talking with that blacksmith you've been gathering tubes and hooks from
[2026/03/10 16:31] Sapphire: chatting him up a lot
[2026/03/10 16:32] Sapphire: and with that bit of news... for next session do you two have particular adventures you wish to seek out before a larger one shows up anyhow?
[2026/03/10 16:32] Mecha: This one is open to ideas
[2026/03/10 16:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: well, now I got to torch a smithy
[2026/03/10 16:33] Mecha: Lol
[2026/03/10 16:33] Sapphire: the *smithy* is what you mean to torch? interesting.....
[2026/03/10 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: ...what...?
[2026/03/10 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: yes
[2026/03/10 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: where you find blacksmiths
[2026/03/10 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: and sometimes, their scrubbers
[2026/03/10 16:34] Sapphire: are you sure you wish to set fire to the castle blacksmiths shop?
[2026/03/10 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: we can make it look like an accident
[2026/03/10 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: or frame someone, like, idk... thagus
[2026/03/10 16:35] Sapphire: alright, sounds like a plan for next session, you can walk us through your actions and your effort to alter the evidence
[2026/03/10 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: 'k... gotta go
[2026/03/10 16:37] Sapphire: ---☾--- -☿--☼---
[2026/03/10 16:37] Sapphire: night knight, Mistress
