The 600-foot diameter space stretches high above you, its ceiling lost in darkness. The air is thick with the acrid scent of smoke and char. A raised area, the size of a small island, lies at the very center of the cavern, with a massive, glowing pentagram etched onto the dark stone surface, pulsating as if with an otherworldly energy. The lines of the symbol seem to shimmer with an eerie, blue-purple light, as if infused with the power of the cosmos. As you gaze upon the pentagram, a shiver runs down your spine, sensing that you are not welcome in this ancient, sacred space, nor should you have come here. As you look round, you see around the cavern, at the points of the pentagram, twenty foot high obsidian pillars with glowing red crystals, bathing the scene in a pulsating ruddy glow.

The passage leading to its lair is a massive tunnel, carved from solid rock and adorned with ancient runes that flicker with a faint ember-like glow. The air grows hotter and thicker with the scent of sulfur as the dragon descends, its scales gleaming like polished rubies in the flickering torchlight. Pools of molten lava bubble about the floor, casting eerie shadows that dance around you. The dragon, with wings spread wide, fills the passage with a menacing presence, scales shimmering as it approaches, revealing sharp, deadly talons and a gaze that promises destruction to any who dare intrude upon its dominion.

Then, there's the chirping and yipping from the cavern you all came through, and two young gold dragons peer round the cave wall

[2025/02/09 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: A Frost Giant was found badly battered to death in the Ramtop Mountains. Locals agreed that it was perhaps just as well. No perpertrators were ever named, and the case remains cold to this day.
[2025/02/09 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Some Kobolds were seen fleeing across the land, stealing supplies and generally being obnoxious. They keep screeching about the great god Emberclaw, and haul a rather waterlogged crate with them.
[2025/02/09 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: The two young white dragons, Glacius and Frostbite, were last seen flying determinedly to the North, where there is rumoured to be vast land of snow and ice, inhabited by a very stout king who rules over elves and reindeer.
[2025/02/09 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: Thunderax returned to his lair in the Great Nef Desert. It's said that he's been researching various ways to spread mundane evil, but in reality he's probably taking a nice long nap for a decade or two.
