Its high walls are adorned with the remnants of banners that once flapped proudly in the wind but now hang tattered and frayed, bearing the sigil of a fierce rampant lion. The castle, originally designed to withstand any attack, now bears huge cracks in the mighty walls - the clear scars of a prolonged conflict. Within the castle, the defenders prepare for the inevitable; as guards staff the battlements, the air is thick with tension. The common folk stand shoulder to shoulder, united against the siege, their spirits flickering like the waning flames of hope.

Meanwhile, engineers work frantically to assemble and position colossal siege weapons - large trebuchets - while here and there sieging magi charge spells to aid in the siege. The sky is a mottled gray, heavy with clouds and threatened by the looming storm of the coming battle.

Its wings beat erratically, clearly still suffering from a grevious wound from earlier. With fierce, intelligent eyes, the dragon casually watches the unfolding siege, its presence both a blessing and a curse to the beleaguered defenders. Occasionally, the dragon lets out a resounding roar that echoes across the valley, sending ripples of fear through the hearts of the invading soldiers and rallying inspiration among the castle’s defenders. Clearly, the dragon has its own agenda, either standing as guardian to the castle or possessing its own vendetta against the armies below.
